Men for Matriarchy is a nonpartisan group of men who want women to be fairly represented in government.
Matriarchy is not the opposite of patriarchy, in which men exert power over women.
Rather, matriarchy requires gender equality. It includes both strong female leadership and shared power for all. (What is matriarchy?)
The US Congress is currently only 28% female, which means we have fewer women in government than almost all other developed countries. This lack of representation is an insult to our nation's ideals of liberty and justice for all, and we do not want it to continue. 72% male, 28% female. Can anyone call that fair?
